What is Hijama Nation?

Hijama Nation was founded in 2011 by Muddassar Raja and Umm Amaar and is based in Birmingham, UK. It runs Hijama Nation Academy online, offering a Level 5 Diploma in Hijama Cupping Therapy (Dip.HCT), along with workshops and consultations about this traditional practice.

How long does the Diploma take?

The course is online and self-paced, with 600 hours of study time including theory and practical work. On average it takes up to a year. Some students finish in three months and others take longer, and there are no deadlines for exams or coursework.

When can I start?

Whenever you like. There are no fixed classes or start dates. Message us on WhatsApp to apply, or contact us first if you would like to talk it through.

Who teaches the course?

A team of practitioners whose backgrounds include life coaching, blood analysis, Ruqyah, reflexology, Indian head massage and naturopathic medicine. They continue to study and share knowledge with other practitioners.

Can I practise once I have qualified?

Rules about offering cupping treatments, and about insurance, differ between countries and regions. We teach the practice. You are responsible for checking the requirements where you live before offering treatments to anyone.
